A feast of delicacies
Gastronomy is tied to the soul of the Algarve, from the delicious Pastel de Nata, now famous around the world, to our love of fresh Sardines. In Lagos and the area surrounding the villa, you’ll find an abundance of high-end, locally run establishments whose menus celebrate the fresh fish our coastline is famed for.
With ten-Michelin stars across the Algarve, there are many restaurants to reserve offering a more refined experience to enjoy your holiday. Both LUX MARE luxury villas also offer BBQ’s and fully integrated kitchens, and our concierge can arrange for our private chef, or outside caters, to bring an exclusive dining concept right into your holiday home.
Portugal is of course also renowned for its wine production, and the Algarve is no exception. There are many wineries you can visit or tour in the Algarve, and samplings are always generous. Alternatively, we can arrange a bespoke wine sampling experience for you, even on your private terrace at LUX MARE.
For the little (and big) kids
There are a number of water-parks and other children friendly attractions across the Algarve. Sand City, constructed entirely of sand, is always a popular side-trip, alongside crazy-golf.
Designer to boutique shopping
Lagos is home to a collection of international stores and local boutiques, but the Algarve is also blossoming its luxury fashion and accessories options as new retail centres, and shopping malls open across the region. The concierge can advise the best shopping destinations depending on the type of retail therapy you seek.
